Totem is for (almost) everyone
Although, if you’re on this page, it’s probably for you. Below, you can find who Totem is and is not for.
Totem is for you if:
You prioritize community, shared experiences and connection with others in similar situations.
You seek a flexible, low cost option that's easy to join without a major financial commitment.
You value peer support focused on storytelling and relationship building.
You desire a structured group where everyone has an equal voice and focus on collective wellbeing
You want a safe, confidential space to share freely.
Totem is not:
A clinical service providing professional diagnoses, advice, or treatment.
Exclusively one-on-one experience.
A substitute for speicalized medical or psychiatric care.
A hierarcal structure, where a therapist leads and directs the session.
For those seeking formal mental health interventions like CBT or medication.
Totem is like Therapy, but not
Totem differs from therapy by focusing on community-driven peer support and shared experiences, rather than professional diagnosis and personalized treatment.

Totem 🤝 Therapy
For some people, Totem serves as an alternative to traditional therapy, while others find it beneficial to use our Spaces alongside their regular therapy sessions.
I'm super grateful to have this space!
“The parenting circle has been such a great continuous support! I've loved having an intentional space to reflect on challenges and areas of growth, while also being able to recognize the humanness of others in the growth.”
What can I look forward to with Totem?
While Totem can certainly support mental health, it’s much more than just a service—it’s a way of life. The communities we’ve built on the Totem platform form bonds that go beyond typical therapeutic relationships. People don’t just share their stories; they invest in one another's well-being, leading to long-lasting friendships and meaningful connections.
Many people may join Totem initially for personal reasons, but they return for the collective experience. As participants share their stories, their strength, and their perspectives, they gain from the wisdom and experiences of others. In these Spaces, you’ll discover the true art of listening and the power of being heard—not by someone paid to listen, but by people whose well-being is intertwined with yours.
